Computed tomography
The workplace equipped with modern technology provides comprehensive medical care in the field of radiodiagnostics. Many years of experience are reflected daily in the professional approach of the entire medical staff. Examinations and the entire course from the patient’s admission to his diagnosis is provided by a team led by MUDr. Ján Hrib.
Computed tomography (CT) is a modern, highly accurate radiological examination method that uses X-ray (X-ray) radiation to provide detailed images of the internal organs of the human body.
CT scans perfectly show bleeding in the brain, bone fractures, tumors of the head, lungs, abdominal cavity and small pelvis, and enlargement of nodules. Traumatic damage to organs of the chest, abdomen, blood vessels and brain. Less accurately able to determine fresh ischemic strokes, some types of tumors and metastases in the human body, and diseases of the uterus. It is expressly unsuitable for the initial diagnosis of cervical cancer, prostate cancer and early stages of uterine cancer.
Examinations
Our workplace uses a 64-series CT scanner of the Siemens Somatom Sensation type. We use only original iodine contrast agents, which after application saturate the individual organs in the human body and thus allow the doctor (radiologist) to detect possible diseases. Once the administered contrast agent has fulfilled its function, it is excreted out of the body through the kidneys.

Ozonotherapy
Are you suffering from spinal pain with pain radiating to the lower extremities ?
Ozone therapy or PRT may be the solution for you.
Ozone therapy and periradicular therapy (PRT) are modern and safe therapeutic methods for the treatment of spinal pain radiating to the lower limbs in so-called radicular syndrome.
Therapeutic effect of ozone: anti-edematous effect, anti-inflammatory effect, analgesic effect, promotes healing, reduces spasms (muscle stiffness).
The method has a low risk of complications because it uses computed tomography (CT) to navigate a needle to a precise point near the nerve (root) or vertebral joint, which is then used to inject a prepared mixture of drug (Diprophos) and anaesthetic (Marcaine) into the area causing the pain, in a total volume of 4-6 ml, or the drug is replaced by ozone (O3) on request in the so-called ozone therapy.
Subsequently, after the application of O3 ozone or anaesthetic, the needle is withdrawn from the body and the procedure is completed. The success rate for pain treatment with ozone and PRT is 85 – 90% and the effect of the treatment lasts individually 2 – 12 months. The treatment can be repeated several times.
Ozone therapy – additional payment of the client only 40,- €.
